Sr. Product Manager - Localization

Tysons corner | Virginia | United States

Your Role:

Do you have a passion for product management and desire a high-impact, empowered role to help drive product strategy? The Sr. PM is responsible for leading and managing the product strategy and roadmap of globalization and localization of software products.  

He/she is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and executing on product roadmap in collaboration with cross-functional teams inside and outside of the Tenable organization. Responsible for identifying stakeholder needs and defining an iterative execution strategy to accomplish via agile development methodologies.

This individual needs to be highly organized and adept at leading, influencing, and inspiring collaboration across cross-functional teams. He/she will provide informal leadership to product managers as part of a large, distributed team. The Sr. PM should have a demonstrated track record of influencing and driving change informed through data, analysis, collaboration, and a strong understanding of the customer need, international markets, and product portfolio. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, strong technical acumen, and the ability to drive outcomes operating horizontally across product, engineering, and business teams.

Your Opportunity

  • Define, prioritize, and execute on product roadmap

  • Coordinate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and business teams to drive  successful product outcomes

  • Gather feedback from customers and internal teams to understand and prioritize product needs.

  • Define requirements, use cases, and acceptance criteria of product development needed for successful product delivery.

  • Working closely with Engineering, Program Management, and other internal teams to ensure alignment on product requirements, goals, execution, and ongoing support.

  • Participating in routine meetings with Support, Sales, Customer Care, Channel, and other departments to keep them informed about product changes

  • Being an active participant in the execution of go-to-market and launch activities

  • Light travel (~10%) to customers, company offices, conferences, etc.


What you'll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related (or equivalent experience)

  • 5+ years of experience building or maintaining global enterprise security products

  • 5+ years of product development experience with an understanding of the product lifecycle

  • 5+ years of experience operating in agile development methodologies

  • Experience with the SDLC, and driving development in an agile/SCRUM environment

  • Ability to break down business requirements to technical platform requirements Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization

  • Broad knowledge of enterprise IT Security Markets and products

  • Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills

  • Strong project, time management, and team collaboration skills
