Software Engineering Intern

Columbia Gateway Drive | Columbia | Maryland | United States | 21046

Being a part of #OneTenable means we work together and win together. We are all part of one Tenable team-employees, customers, partners, stakeholders...and interns. When you join us as an intern, you are joining the Cyber Exposure movement. Each intern is fully integrated into their respective teams working on real-world projects. Your Role:

As a Software Engineering Intern with the Log Correlation Engine (LCE) team, you’ll be responsible for developing features related to the collection, aggregation, and correlation of logs from various network and security devices and applications.  You’ll design and then implement new functionality for the LCE, and work with Quality Assurance Engineers to validate the new code.  You may learn new processes, new tools, new debugging techniques, and we think you’ll have fun along the way, too!

What You'll Need:

  • Exposure to either Java and other scripting languages
  • A high level of comfort working with Linux systems
  • Some familiarity with client-server architecture and network application troubleshooting
  • Some familiarity with web server architecture and web server / client protocols.
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Some project experience in application development related to networking or security is preferred
  • Currently enrolled in a Computer Science (or related) program at an accredited university.

Please submit a resume and include a cover letter indicating your overall experience, your accomplishments, and what programming skills you possess.
