Tenable is looking for an outstanding engineer to join the Triage team, a critical front line engineering function supporting our technical and customer facing teams. We are responsible for troubleshooting and analysing issues to ensure timely and meaningful updates on customer-reported issues, to help ensure customer satisfaction.
We validate reported issues, provide additional context based on research and testing, and route them to the appropriate Engineering teams. We are passionate about delivering quality and service to our co-workers and customers, and enjoy learning and understanding evolving complex and connected systems from the big picture down to the details.
Collaborate: work within a collaborative and supportive team, as well as cross-functionally with other Engineering teams to accomplish shared goals and enhance customer experiences, directly impacting productivity and success across the Engineering organization.
Advocate: promote solution-oriented problem resolution while actively guiding the team and organization toward better practices in areas such as responsiveness, diagnosability and reliability.
Innovate: encourage innovation by contributing new ideas for our processes, tools and technologies. Shine a light on areas needing improvement and work toward ever greater customer satisfaction.
Mentor: coach and mentor peers in the troubleshooting, support and maintenance of highly technical development projects.
What You’ll Need:
Analytical mindset: focus on drilling into issues while maintaining a high level view.
Strong customer and team focus: an interest in the product, customer use cases and evolving engineering solutions.
Experience troubleshooting complex and inter-related software interactions using a variety of tools and approaches.
Passion for continuous improvement, learning, and knowledge sharing.
Confidence and a positive can-do approach in a highly distributed, diverse environment.
Proven experience with: Splunk, Jira, common OS and scripting languages.
JVM-based backend technologies and data store knowledge are a plus.
Excellent communication skills and an ability to tailor your content and approach to your audience.
Experience with Tenable products and services is an advantage.
BSs in Computer Science or directly related field, or equivalent work experience
