Senior Director, Sales Strategy & Insights

Your Role:

The Sales Strategy organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional go-to-market alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive the annual sales planning process in collaboration with financial planning & analysis organization. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

The Sales Insights organization provides business critical insights using analytics and decision frameworks to ensure cross-functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive new initiatives forward. We focus on bringing new insights that can be scaled and support future high growth. As a Sales Insights leader, you'll partner with our sales stakeholders and the management team on their internal and external insights and business intelligence needs. You will use an analytical, data-driven approach to drive a deep understanding of our fast changing business, provide insights that will translate directly to accelerated business growth. In this role, you will also provide analytical thought leadership to our leaders, delivering insights that enable them to make sound decisions about where to invest across key big bets, including covering new regions, existing account growth, and go-to-market coverage models and strategies for our sales organization.

Your Opportunity:

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the drivers of growth for the sales organization
  • Provide leaders with deep, compelling insights about the health and efficiency of their business and key opportunities for growth
  • Engage with sales leadership and regional sales operations teams to influence and guide their operating plans, go-to-market coverage model, and segmentation
  • Identify opportunities to apply advanced statistical methods to business challenges
  • Own dashboards for all sales stakeholders to deliver important insights and KPI’s

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 10+ years of experience in the field of Business Analytics in either a large consulting firm or technology company – SAAS preferred

And Ideally:

  • Experience in management consulting, data science, financial analysis, sales analytics, or an equivalent analyst position
  • Experience with statistical tools (R, SPSS, Python, MATLAB) and data visualization tools (Tableau or similar)
  • People management experience with excellent communication skills, including storytelling/stakeholder management
  • Knowledge in manipulating data/generating insights using SQL and/or Tableau
  • Ability to proactively translate complex findings in a structured and clear manner to non-technical audiences. Passion for utilizing insights to drive business decisions at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to maintain over-sight on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, changing, cross-functional environment
