Senior Director of Strategic Pricing & Packaging

Your Role:

The Senior Director, Strategic Pricing & Packaging, will manage  the overall pricing and packaging strategy for the portfolio of Tenable products. You will lead a cross-functional initiative across a variety of disciplines: pricing of all products, package constructs, installation pricing, project management, business case development and deployment of new products and features, and oversight on budgeted revenue and subscriber targets

This includes working across functions, including Product Management, Sales, Finance  and executive leadership to asses pricing strategy and models, pricing and packaging needs and priorities and its impact on GTM plans; working with partners to develop a price/packaging strategy to deliver both customer and revenue growth; working cross-functionally on developing business cases and executing pricing and packaging initiatives; and working with internal teams on our 'Go To Market' Plans to drive market share.

Your opportunity:

  • Establish,maintain and plan the overall pricing and packaging structure for all Tenable product lines
  • Set new pricing and packaging strategy
  • Define, develop, and implement standard operational frameworks for products
  • Coordinate with sales and marketing to assess client and industry needs and identify possible solutions to meet those needs
  • Develop business cases and supporting documentation
  • Oversee development of assigned new products and services and ensure customer needs are met. Provide product support and documentation and develop product materials
  • Manage pricing life-cycle of new and existing products and services
  • Demonstrate excellent project management skills with a proven track record of successful delivery of projects on time and inline with budget expectation
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
  • Regular consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends variable schedule(s) as necessary

What you’ll need:

  • Generally requires 10+ years related experience
  • Ability to build and manage a highly effective product marketing team
  • Ability to build a coalition of partners within the matrix environment
  • Ability to validate market trends to business and customer needs through customer insight and competitive intelligence
  • Ability to know the data and build the justification to state the business case
  • Ability to use a strong product marketing and product management focus to drive customer and revenue per customer growth
  • Ability to understand and manage price/packaging to balance customer growth, revenue growth and margin growth
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance

And ideally:

  • MBA preferred
  • Demonstrated success of customer and revenue growth in a highly competitive business environment
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and find new ways to compete and win
  • Financial and business acumen with strong analytical skills and a proven track record of delivering business results
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills able to engage employees at all levels
