Sales Process Improvement Analyst

Your Role: 

As a member of the Sales Operations team, you will be responsible for providing back office support to Tenable’s worldwide sales team. Your primary objective is to ensure efficiency and effectiveness throughout the entire sales cycle. You will need a customer centric attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. You will need a working knowledge of the sales cycle in order to investigate and evaluate current business processes for system/application needs and development, deployment and sustainment, as well as provide program/project managers with recommendations and plans to improve or eliminate those processes. This position reports to the Manager, Sales Projects Office.

The Sales Process Improvement Analyst position is a wide-ranging role, involved in a variety of different projects. In general, you will work with other Sales Operations teams, the Business Platforms team and other business teams to find the best way to improve systems and tools, and solve process-related problems. This will often involve trouble-shooting, analyzing data, gathering and documenting business requirements, designing and implementing solutions, testing solutions, measuring performance and collaborating on improvements. The Sales Process Improvement Analyst will also contribute in the documentation and communication of processes, as well as the development of common standards, rules, policies and workflows. The ideal candidate needs to be a self-starter and problem-solver with strong analytical skills.


Your Opportunity:

 

  • Trouble-shoot and resolve issues within sales-facing systems and tools.
  • Support the design and collection of base-line metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to enable measurement of cost and cycle-time reduction as a result of process improvements.
  • Investigate, analyze and document the current state of business processes and/or systems.
  • Perform gap analysis to identify missing or inadequate processes or procedures.
  • Support the collection and documentation of business requirements to improve and enhancement processes and technologies.
  • Recommend business process and technical solutions to improve operational efficiencies, effectiveness and customer experience.
  • Assist in establishing and documenting highly efficient processes and procedures.
  • Coordinate with external organizations to solicit process improvement for inputs and outputs to those external process elements.
  • Monitor, measure and provide feedback on process performance.
  • Provide progress reports and/or briefings on a regular basis.
  • Maintain a customer centric and holistic view of all processes and customer segments in the ecosystem to understand dependencies, cross functional to processes, workflow and reporting.
What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years’ experience in business process analysis
  • Hands-on experience in process optimization
  • Business process analysis and process improvement experience
  • Experience with data analysis methodologies and tools
  • Efficiency in the use of Microsoft (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Ability to collaborate across functional groups
  • Ability to work as both an individual contributor and a cross-functional team member to drive results
  • Ability to overcome technical, cultural and functional barriers while continuing to progress
  • Approach work in an organized fashion with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems
  • Ability to plan projects and determine the critical path
  • Ability to implement value adding solutions and complete the objectives in a timely fashion
  • Ability to support a diverse set of customers
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize multiple on-going projects
  • Desire to drive change and improve existing business processes
  • Strong analytical Skills
  • Ability to communicate the problem, overall objectives, project progress, recommended improvements and results to both technical experts and senior management across multiple functions
  • Ability to develop and provide presentations for managerial review
  • Effective oral and written communication skills

Ideally: 
  • Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM system
  • Working knowledge of Visio, Lucidchart or similar application
