Sales Process and Projects Manager

Your Role:

As a member of the Sales Operations team, you will be responsible for providing back office support to Tenable’s worldwide sales team. You will need a customer centric attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast moving environment. You will need a working knowledge of the sales cycle in order to investigate and evaluate of the current business processes for application requirements, development, deployment and sustainment, and providing program/project managers with recommendations and plans to improve or eliminate those processes. Your primary objective is to ensure optimization through the entire sales cycle. This position reports to the Manager, Sales Projects Office.

The Sales Process and Projects Manager is responsible for identifying inefficient and non-value-added business processes in an Information Technology, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) environment. You will be responsible for process improvement activities from requirements definition to full solution implementation, including: quality control, documentation, and regulatory compliance.

The Sales Process and Projects Manager position will be highly visible involving direct support to the Sponsors’ stakeholders. The ideal candidate needs to be a self-starter working with minimal supervision with regards to communicating, handling research & analysis and creating current and future business-process designs to identify areas for improvement. The Sales Process and Projects Manager will also be responsible for contributing to the strategic guidance and support with documenting processes of Sponsor’s planning, developing, communicating, implementing, and overseeing activities in the development of common standards, rules, policies, and workflows. The Sales Process and Projects Manager will need to have the ability to structure a large amount of information within a process framework. This is a wide-ranging role that can be immersed in a variety of different projects. In general, you will work with business teams and the IT Department to find the best way to design new processes and solve process-related problems. This will often involve mapping existing processes and designing improved ones.

Your Opportunity:

  • Investigate, analyze and document the current state of business processes
  • Perform gap analysis to identify missing or inadequate processes or procedures
  • Recommend improvements to existing processes and identify areas for elimination
  • Assist in establishing and documenting highly efficient processes and procedures
  • Perform base-line metrics collection and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to enable measurement of cost-savings and time-savings as a result of implementing improved processes
  • Analyze the needs and expectations of the customer’s experience in order to enhance quality and drive customer loyalty
  • Coordinate with external organizations to solicit process improvement for inputs and outputs to those external process elements
  • Recommend business and technical solutions to improve operational efficiencies, effectiveness and customer experience
  • Collect and document business requirements for experience enhancement processes and technologies
  • Monitor, measure and provide feedback on process performance
  • Provide progress reports and/or briefings on a regular basis to managers, customers and other stakeholders
  • Maintain a customer centric and holistic view of all processes and customer segments in the ecosystem to understand dependencies, cross functional impacts with regards to process, workflow and reporting
  • Write and/or edit corporate policy and process documents

  • Ability to communicate the overall objectives, project progress, recommended improvements and results to both technical experts and senior management across multiple functions
  • Ability to develop and provide presentations and executive-level briefings
  • Effective oral and written communication skills coupled with the ability to establish and maintain productive customer and industry participant networks
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in business process analysis
  • Hands-on experience in process optimization
  • Significant business process analysis and process improvement consulting experience
  • Established Business Process Improvements (BPI) methods, such as, Strategy Mapping, SWOT, Value Chain, and Competitive Advantage
  • Experience with change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Efficiency in the use of Microsoft (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) is required

And Ideally:

  • Use multiple methodologies, such as Six Sigma, Lean Agile and change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM system is preferred
  • Working knowledge of Visio or similar application is a bonus
