Sales Ops Intern

Columbia | Maryland | United States

The Sales and Channel Operations team strives to increase global sales productivity through planning and analytical excellence and by developing solutions for sales force effectiveness and efficiency. We create, improve and manage tools and processes that support sales as well as internal teams within Tenable.  We're looking for a self-motivated analyst to help audit processes and cleanse system data that will prove critical to sales operations processes.

The position is for a current undergraduate student interested in gaining experience working on process improvement projects and helping see systems developed to support those process. The intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment, and is desired to have strong analytical, quantitative and organizational skills. The project work requires working in a small team within the Sales and Channel Operations department, at times interacting with other internal departments and, occasionally, external organizations.


The ideal candidate must be team-oriented, demonstrate strong reasoning and communication skills, and have the ability to utilize software, especially Salesforce, Excel, and Word to achieve the tasks set out.


Your Opportunity:


You will be a key member of a small, dynamic and versatile team:

●         Working with other sales operations team members to understand business processes and tools that support our field reps.

●         Assist in the execution of database maintenance and other projects as needed.

●         Assist with enrichment, cleansing, de-duplication & records updates.

●         Assist with system updates.

●         Pointing out issues with current processes—and fixing them!

What you will need:

●         Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

●         Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

●         To be task oriented and deadline driven.

●         Ability to work accurately with great attention to detail.

●         Strong analytical skills.

●         Ability to work with minimal supervision.

And ideally:

●         Working knowledge of

●         Interest in process and systems improvement.

●         Interest in project management.
