Sales Development Representative

Columbia | Maryland | United States

The Velocity Sales Development Representative supports Tenable’s internal Velocity sales team & Tenable’s ecommerce business and is responsible for generating new business via inbound opportunity qualification.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow-up on inbound phone and web product inquiries to qualify new sales opportunities for Tenable’s ecommerce website and Velocity Territory Managers.
  • Promote Tenable events and webinars.
  • Manage and update the company’s contact and account databases as it relates to their respective territories.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • 1+ year of experience in sales or similar client support role is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer proficiency – experience using Salesforce.com or other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and capable of accurate work with minimal supervision.
