Your Role:

Come join our Tenable Sales Development (SDR) team. Our team members are focused on driving the mission of the organization to “Empower all organizations to understand and reduce their cyber risk.”  Each SDR is purposefully driven to live the mission of Tenable.  Our world headquarters offers a dynamic work environment. The Sales Development Intern is exposed to a full range of experiences as an early sales cycle seller. You will partner with other peers to support our remote sales force. You will strategize territory dynamics, work with marketing, prospect inbound and outbound to identify and qualify new opportunities.  Sound exciting?  Join us! 

 

Your Opportunity:

  • Strategize territory and target accounts
  • Devise an account penetration game plan
  • Apply a multi-channel approach to prospecting, leveraging, email, phone, social selling and other techniques to generate business
  • Work with several selling platforms to generate new sales opportunities and grow our pipeline
  • Learn how to conduct call openers, overcome objections and successfully ask questions to qualify prospects
  • Schedule meetings and demos for sales Territory Managers after proper lead qualification
  • Promote Tenable events and webinars for the region
  • Research target accounts for outbound call campaigns
  • Manage and update the company’s contact and account databases as it relates to the respective region
  • Make daily calls to inbound and outbound sales prospects

 

What you'll need:

  • Good attitude and desire to win
  • Great communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong work ethic
  • Desire to launch a career in sales
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Computer proficiency – experience using Salesforce.com or other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools are preferred
  • Must be detail-oriented and capable of accurate work with minimal supervision
