Your Role:

A Reverse Engineer at Tenable works on the analysis of published vulnerabilities and the writing of remote unauthenticated Nessus plugins. The work is not exclusively limited to the writing of remote plugins but also work on the discovery and validation of new vulnerabilities and the writing of libraries to implement new protocols for Nessus.

Your Opportunity:

  • Analyzing known vulnerabilities when little information is publicly-available
  • Writing network clients to trigger remote code execution (RCE) vulnerabilities

What you'll need:

  • Knowledge on reversing binary files for Windows and/or Linux
  • Hands-on experience analyzing network traffic and protocols
  • Prior experience with debuggers, disassemblers or decompilers
  • Programming and debugging experience with C/C++, assembly (x86/x64 and/or ARM/ARM64), and scripting languages

And ideally:

  • Experience authoring reverse engineering or program analysis tools/software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
