Public Sector Channel Manager - Distribution

Reston | Virginia | United States

Your Role:

The Public Sector Channel Manager-Distribution is responsible for establishing and managing relationships with the Distribution Partner(s).  The CM-Disty will act as a sales liaison between distributor and Tenable Channel Manager personnel. The CM-Disty will support sales endeavors across the Nessus Family product line.

Your Opportunity:

  • Define strategy and manage its execution for distribution partner(s)
  • Serve as the main point of contact as it relates to activity centric to the Distributor(s) assigned to the CM-Disty
  • In conjunction with marketing team, develop and assist with the execution of lead generation campaigns for the purpose of pipeline development
  • Provide input to marketing and/or program managers regarding additions or changes needed to our partner tools, on-line interfaces, or similar
  • Work in coordination with Federal Distribution partner on forecasting, partner engagement and contracts management
  • Increase reporting visibility and consistency based on mutually agreed upon format between Tenable and distributor
  • Oversee International contracts negotiation for expansion of the distribution relationship
  • Identify potential partners for recruitment and facilitate Tenable Channel Manger introduction via distributor personnel
  • Oversee dedicated personnel supporting Tenable product line
  • Create and deliver accurate quarterly and annual strategic plans
  • In conjunction with the marketing team, develop and assist with the execution of annual and quarterly marketing business plans

What You'll Need:

  • 5+ years of experience in Channel Management and/or Distribution in relation to technology sales preferred
  • Virginia Based opportunity - Expectation to provide on-site support at VA based distributor
  • FED and SLG Channel Experience Required
  • Documented track record of success
  • College Degree strongly preferred
  • Experience and comfort with providing presentations and product trainings
  • Domestic travel is a requirement of this position
And Ideally:
  • Based in Virginia preferred
