Marketing Manager – Commercial Business

Columbia Gateway Drive | Columbia | Maryland | United States | 21046

Your Role:

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing integrated sales and marketing programs for our commercial business. The ideal candidate needs strong communication skills, high energy and is highly detailed and organized. In a dynamic environment, they need to be proactive, flexible, have strong time management skills and can balance many projects simultaneously with short deadlines for completion.

Your Opportunity:

  • Lead development of commercial marketing strategy and execute tactics to drive growth by identifying opportunities, creating, and managing marketing campaigns, go-to-market programs
  • Partner closely with our cross-functional teams (corporate marketing, pmm, channel marketing, sales) to identify, prioritize and produce programs with consistent positioning and messaging
  • Create demand generation programs & materials designed to drive awareness, trial and purchase
  • Build and drive engagement programs with the commercial business installed base
  • Establish KPIs, track performance/success, measure, analyze and adjust campaigns in-flight based on performance. Assess campaign effectiveness by product, medium, source, offer type, and target audience
  • Use test, measure, learn approach to iterate and optimize campaigns to drive the best possible results
  • Research and select appropriate agencies to ensure successful and timely project completion
  • Leverage global campaigns, messaging and assets as appropriate to apply to high-velocity segments
  • Develop relevant demand metrics and measurement to quantify program impact
  • Educate and work with stakeholders across the business and with our partners to implement the strategy, initiatives and programs.
  • Ensure effective and frequent internal communication of key initiatives.

What you'll need:

  • Minimum 5-year experience in high tech
  • Must have strong marketing experience in creative program development for the commercial space with a clear track record of execution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated proficiency in copywriting and developing and optimizing partner and customer focused content (such as email, website pages, & sales collateral)
  • Experience in developing channel strategy, working with channel partners
  • Demonstrated development of performance goals and reporting out on performance against goals with history of optimizing programs in flight
  • Exceptional communication, project management & time management skills
  • Must possess the drive to achieve quick results
  • A history of collaboration with cross-functional teams (marketing, product management, customer success, partner sales and direct sales)
  • Analytics and reporting capabilities with project planning experience
