Yes you can - if you’re excited by the thought of working with over 800 colleagues, 23,000 customers and a range of revolutionary products that are shaping cybersecurity in 150 countries. Being valued for who you are as well as what you do, you can embrace the pace (we’re recognized as one of the fastest growing security product companies by SC Magazine, Red Herring, Info Securities, Deloitte and E&Y) as well as enjoy a superb rewards package (we’re seen as a Best Places to Work by Glassdoor, The Washington Post, The Baltimore Sun, The Baltimore Business Journal and Expert Marketplace). The key question is: Is This You?

We have big plans for continued global growth, and we’re looking for people who are creative, flexible and dedicated to helping us build something great – something that matters.

Lab Manager - Networking, TCP/IP, CCNP

Columbia | Maryland | United States

Your Role:

Tenable is looking for a Sensors Lab Manager to join the Nessus Network Monitor (NNM) engineering team. The Nessus Network Monitor is the only vulnerability scanning product that delivers continuous real-time network monitoring in a non-intrusive manner. As a Sensors Lab Manager, you will oversee a network of industrial controls and Internet of Things devices to support a team of engineers working on several projects related to the NNM product.

Your Opportunity:

  • Research, install, configure and monitor a broad array of industrial, consumer and IT networking devices across several VLANs that make up the ICS/IoT Lab
  • Take ownership of ensuring devices are properly configured, online and available for engineers to use for testing to support their development work
  • Manage all aspects of network configuration, troubleshooting and support as it relates to the ICS/IoT Lab.  Coordinate with IT personnel on issues beyond the scope of the ICS/IoT Lab
  • Create and maintain accurate records of network-related configuration information, such as assigned IP addresses, MAC addresses, and device identity/configuration information, as well as documentation of network topology
  • Work closely with engineers on the NNM Modules team to coordinate device installation, configuration and availability to meet critical project deadlines.  In cases where other teams may need access to devices, coordinate device availability and re-configure those devices as is necessary to support other teams (and when devices are returned to the ICS/IoT Lab)

What you'll need:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in enterprise network administration
  • Prior experience as a senior network technician or network administrator
  • Experience working with consumer and IT devices that are network connected
  • Experience installing, configuring, and programming industrial controls devices such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial PCs, human machine interfaces (HMIs), and industrial networking devices
  • Experience working with engineering teams, and possess a can-do attitude

And Ideally:

  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field (or sufficient technical certifications to demonstrate proficiency in network administration)
  • IT/networking experience in an ICS/OT environment

We’re committed to promoting Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) at Tenable - through all equal employment opportunity laws and regulations at the international, federal, state and local levels.
