IT Support Engineer Intern

Your Role:

In your role as an IT Support Engineer intern you will have the opportunity to learn how to support day-to-day operations of technology applications and equipment. You will gain real-world experience supporting and configuring hardware, software and business applications utilized by internal staff. 

Your Opportunity:

  • Determine source of computer and telephony problems (hardware, software, network, user access, etc.)
  • Answer staff questions in person, via phone and ticketing system on all company supported applications
  • Create and manage new accounts based on departmental needs
  • Document resolutions for future reference
  • Determine ways to automate processes to improve efficiency of the Help Desk
  • Route inbound inquiries within the IT department to appropriate groups for escalation and resolution
  • Communicate resolution to end users
  • Provision and configure equipment for new staff

What you'll need:

  • Currently pursuing a degree of Computer Science, Information Systems or similar
  • General knowledge of Local Area Networks and troubleshooting
  • Ability to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions
  • Ability to communicate technical guidance and instruction to users on the use of applications and systems
  • A desire to learn and support new hardware, software and operating systems
  • Effective interpersonal skills to work as a team member
