Information Security Manager

Tenable is expanding its internal corporate security team and is looking for an Information Security Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Information security, this individual will be responsible to manage the analysts and day-to-day InfoSec’s operations. This is an opportunity to be an InfoSec leader at a leading InfoSec company - how cool is that?

While being in a daily commutable distance to the Columbia, Maryland HQ is preferred, we are also considering candidates in and around our Tysons Corner, VA WeWork location. Please note, you'll still be expected to be at our HQ in Columbia to interact with the team 2 or 3 days per week. 

Your Opportunity:

  • On a daily basis, oversee and lead the security operations team
  • Lead the creation, implementation, and maintenance of the enterprise Information Security Operations procedures, processes and playbooks
  • Maintain metrics to measure operational efficiency
  • Oversee the team’s response to identified vulnerabilities r and security incidents
  • Oversee vulnerability assessments and work with respective teams on mitigation or remediation
  • Work with internal and external auditors and examiners to help ensure compliance with regulations, laws, and established procedures
  • Build strong partnerships with technical teams to help promote good security practices and incident management across corporate infrastructure and platforms
  • Maintain appropriate alerts, reports and dashboards to help protect corporate and production systems, and provide operational updates on a frequent basis or as required by leadership team
  • Assist in the development and career growth of team members
  • Assist in the development and implementation of controls to protect information systems throughout the company
  • Assist in maintaining and testing of business continuity and disaster recovery procedures

What you'll need:

  • Understanding of Information Security programs and compliance frameworks including ISO 27001
  • Prior technical project management experience
  • Technical deep understanding and experience with Information Security tools
  • Experienced leading a SOC and familiarity with different SIEM platforms
  • Technical understanding and experience with vulnerability management and incident response practices
  • In-depth familiarity with UNIX/Linux and Windows operating systems administration as well as network infrastructure, security tools and IP-based network protocols
  • Familiarity with protection of mobile devices and BYOD procedures
  • Manage and context switch between competing priorities while maintaining organized and detailed reporting of status and progress
  • Minimum 7 years experience in Information Security
  • Minimum 3 years experience with incident response and handling and forensics
  • Minimum 3 years management experience
An ideally:
  • Certifications: CISSP, SANS GIAC,CISA
