HR Operations Manager

Your Role:

The Tenable Human Resources organization is seeking an HR Operations Manager who can support the company's strategic objectives through scaling and optimizing HR operations. This is the opportunity to improve business results by driving streamlined, scalable end-to-end process improvement and critical leadership reporting and analytics, as well as ensuring compliance with local and federal employment laws and internal controls. The successful candidate must bring a proven track record of leading and implementing process engineering and analytics projects to achieve significant improvements, as well as of providing high levels of customer satisfaction by managing a team that provides daily operations support and reporting. You should have strong drive for results, enthusiasm for problem solving, and customer focus, and should thrive in a dynamic, rapidly-growing organization. This role works collaboratively across global HR and Recruiting functions and partners closely with IT/HRIS, Legal, and Finance teams.  

Your Opportunity:

  • Provide leadership and direction of Human Resource business processes and reporting in collaboration with HRIS, HR Business Partners, Recruiting, and other HR COEs.  This includes crafting business requirements for process improvements, reporting needs and HR systems enhancements, as well as ensuring adherence SOX controls.
  • Deliver reporting and analytics that capture critical data needed for business decisions, used within HR and by senior company leadership.  Lead team of analysts to create end-to-end workforce reporting tools, from headcount planning through hiring and the full employee lifecycle.
  • Drive continuous improvements and operational efficiencies in HR services, processes and procedures. Establish internal metrics to measure and evaluate HR support roles' operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction. Communicate plans, statuses, changes to stakeholders.
  • Partner with HRIS to evaluate and implement technical solutions that help drive our business forward, in alignment with strategic HR technology roadmap.  Serve as primary HR liaison with IT and ensure business requirements are successfully articulated and achieved.  
  • Stay current on HR legal compliance expectations and deliver statutory reporting, documentation and audits in adherence with state and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Source and manage external service providers for outsourced HR/Recruiting processes.  Advise on budgeting needs and cost-savings opportunities. 
  • Manage and develop HR Operations team members by assigning workloads, providing feedback and coaching, prioritizing projects and deliverables, and giving overall guidance.  Team collectively handles analytical and transaction functions including reporting/analytics, compliance reports, ATS systems administration, employee data integrity, HCM functionality requirements and testing, candidate interview coordination, and background checks, among many other tasks.
  • Assist and partner with the Sr. Director of HR Operations through support of miscellaneous other projects and presentations.


What you'll need:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in HR/HR Operations including HR systems, processes, and service delivery
  • 5+ years people management experience
  • Exceptional strength in design of practices and tools, with process improvement mentality
  • Expertise in HCM systems, with Workday preferred
  • Demonstrated project and change management skills. Formal Six Sigma/Lean methodology and/or PMP certification a plus
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to effectively work and influence cross-functionally
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills, to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Expert problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Heavy motivation to provide world-class experience to candidates and employees
  • Ability to work in ambiguity, adapt to change, and take a global view
  • BA or BS degree
