Director of Global Ecommerce

San Jose | California | United States

The Director of Global Ecommerce will own the Tenable Ecommerce customer acquisition channel with the goal of creating a seamless and intuitive online customer experience which optimizes traffic to the store and conversion to purchase. This role requires subject matter expertise in managing a global Ecommerce store within the software industry while having a deep understanding of digital, social and web engagement. This role will partner closely with the Digital and Marketing Operations teams to optimize traffic and lead conversion, as well as the Sales Development team to create clear hand-offs and a seamless process for customer qualification post-purchase.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end to end online customer journey for the Ecommerce channel including inbound and outbound marketing programs spanning digital (SEM, display ads), social, SEO, web lead conversion optimization and web analytics/testing, working closely with the functional marketing teams to build a cohesive strategy inclusive of Ecommerce
  • Own the Ecommerce store program management and operations. Drive user interface enhancements including page flow and content
  • Partner with field and channel marketing to optimize effectiveness of cross-channel promotions, including creating a seamless process and customer experience with the sales development team

Competencies and Skills  

  • Ecommerce subject matter expertise within an enterprise software company
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration across the company including Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance and IT
  • Excellent analytical skills including web performance and analytics, search engine optimization and marketing, lead optimization and conversion, and A/B testing, in order to identify trends and diagnose the cause and effect of tactics to maximize traffic and optimize conversion rate
  • Functional knowledge of systems and tools including Ecommerce store platform operations and management (Cleverbridge), A/B testing platforms (e.g. Optimizely) and Google Analytics
  • Fluency and competence in eCommerce systems, needs, supporting processes and analytical tools
  • Experience in developing a framework to analyze and report on eCommerce merchandising performance including the ability to accurately forecast spend to revenue through the Ecommerce channel

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of applied experience in eCommerce marketing management for a software company, preferably B2B
  • Excellent problem solving skills; ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
  • Master of cross-functional team collaboration and communication
  • Experience with traditional eCommerce platforms, systems and related tools
  • Experience working in a geographically distributed environment
