Demo Data Manager

Columbia | Maryland | United States

Your Role:

The Demo Data Manager will build, initiate, communicate and execute the overall Go to Market Demo ecosystem for the Tenable Security business as it relates to the SE organization. This is inclusive of Demo Data for all Cloud and On-Prem Solutions as well as a demo environment that is accessible to Internal Tenable SEs and Partner SEs.

Tenable Security Sales personnel are dedicated to being recognized as Strategic Security Advisors to our Partners and Customers. As this transformation occurs, this role will help in developing consistent, reliable and complete Demo Data that allows the field to show our differentiating capabilities across the portfolio. Additionally, this role will hold the responsibility to build out and support the demo system that allow all sellers, internal or partner, to access any product at any time, be it on-prem solutions or cloud based.

Your Opportunity:
  • Being a strong business partner with the SE Leadership Team on needs, testing and deployment.
  • Running projects that relate to Demo efficiency, clarity of demonstrable differentiators and up to date versions of the demo images and data
  • Craft Innovative processes, projects, demo platforms, etc that help the Individual Contributors on the team to be Differentiating in the market
  • Channel focus:
    • Work closely with the Channel SE team to drive Partner SE self-sufficiency, Low Touch – No Touch
    • Focus on “Dashboard Metrics” that allow the SE Leadership team to understand how their business is running.
    • Demo Framework
    • Demo Cloud usage
    • Demo data usage
    • Actively engage with development, engineering, product management (possibly product marketing?), etc. to be up-to- date with upcoming features/functionality/releases to plan for implementation within the demo environment.  This would include, but not be limited to, participating in all MFRP and product update calls.
What you'll need:
  • Communications skills focused on the technical sales teams
  • Excellent project management, multi-tasking, and decision-making skills are essential
  • Must be able to develop and evolve long-term Demo system strategies while consistently driving tactical projects
  • Ability to drive plans to execution, incorporating cross functional needs and deliverables
  • Self-motivation, creativity and a determination to reach goals and objectives
  • Thorough understanding of Tenable field sales organization
  • Continuous documentation of the operations
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • VMware products including vSphere and ESXi Windows Administration (Active Directory/Domain, WSUS, GPO)
  • Linux Administration (installing, updating)
  • A strong understanding of cloud-based infrastructures (AWS) and how to manage hosts within them
  • A strong understanding of virtual infrastructures (VMWare vSphere) and how to manage hosts within them
  • A strong understanding on how to manage a small Windows environment, including patch management, Active Directory, etc.
  • A strong understanding on how to manage Linux hosts
  • A strong understanding on Docker containerization, and how to manage and build containers
  • A strong understanding around building and maintaining Vagrant configurations
  • A strong understanding around infrastructure as code systems, such as Terraform.
And ideally:
  • BA/BS preferred
