Data Analyst

Dublin | Ireland

Your Role:

Become a key member of the global data science team with expertise in a diverse range of disciplines (Machine Learning, Computer Programming, Statistics, Data Visualisation)

Your Opportunity:

  • Utilise the latest technologies (Big Data, Cloud) to work on some of the biggest challenges in the cyber security industry
  • Work in a start-up environment building a state of the art data science platform from scratch
  • Display your passion and innovation to help shape the product pipeline
  • Extract data from the Data Science platform (Data Lake and Data Mart) to answer analytical requests from across the business.
  • Work with key business leaders to gather requirements and help prioritise the development of new data sources within the data science platform.
  • Collaborate with the intelligence and publications team in generating product or threat intelligence insights that will be published to the wider cyber security community.
  • Work closely with product team to develop self-service visualisations using Tableau Online to answer ongoing business questions on demand.
  • Manage process around reporting and resolving data quality issues.
  • Contribute to the documentation of data processes within the data science team

What you'll need:

  • Degree in quantitative area (Statistics, Maths, Physics, Engineering, …)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in an analytical role within a commercial environment
  • Experience with building visualisations and reporting with Tableau.
  • Knowledge of Data modelling/data warehousing concepts and constructs
  • Extensive SQL query experience
  • Familiarity with R or Python
  • Strong documentation skills & ability to hit project plans and deadlines.
  • ETL knowledge
  • Willingness to question validity and accuracy of data
  • Ability to transform data into insight & recommended actions for inspiring change in business results
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to present advanced subject matters to a diverse audience
