Your Role: 

Tenable is seeking a talented marketing professional with expertise in managing a customer reference program to help drive our explosive growth in the cybersecurity market. In this role, you will draw on your passion for customer relationships to harness the vitality of Tenable’s 20,000+ customers globally. You will build a structured customer reference program from the ground up that promotes the success of Tenable’s customers in reducing cybersecurity risk. You will personally research, evaluate, secure, and track references for sales prospect conversations, analyst conversations, PR and marketing activities, and more. Working seamlessly with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and other teams, you will lead one of the most important elements of Tenable’s go-to-market approach. Your Opportunity:
  • Build a structured customer reference program from the ground up, based on input from several stakeholders
  • Create and maintain a customer reference system capable of supporting a wide variety of reference needs and queries
  • Obtain and manage references in specific categories, such as industry, product usage, geography, and competitive wins
  • Regularly and rigorously research customer wins for reference potential
  • Develop creative approaches to generating customer references through internal and market-facing activities
What you'll need:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, ideally from a top university
  • 4+ years of high tech marketing experience; 7+ years of broadly relevant career experience
  • Experience managing a customer reference program for a B2B technology company; experience creating one from scratch a big plus
  • Proven success working directly with enterprise customers on reference activities
  • Must have the ability to travel up to 15% of time, including internationally
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Thrive on building personal relationships with customers
  • Must enjoy creating new processes and programs to support rapid business growth
  • Must be determined and persistent; not easily deterred even when pursuing stretch goals
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments where change is the norm and the bar for quality is set high
  • Inherent drive and self-starter attitude motivate you to achieve dramatic success
And Ideally:
  • Experience with Salesforce.com a plus
  • Experience in cybersecurity a plus
