Communications Associate - Analyst Relations

Your Role

Tenable is seeking a sharp, detail-oriented and personable Communications Associate to join our industry analyst relations (AR) team. This role will report to the Director of Analyst Relations and will work closely with internal stakeholders to execute AR initiatives and nurture Tenable’s relationship with the analyst community (e.g., Gartner, Forrester, IDC). This is a tremendous opportunity for a communications professional who is eager to learn and grow, while making an impact in one of the strongest cybersecurity companies in the world!

Your Opportunity

  • Establish trusted, mutually beneficial relationships with industry analysts to ensure their understanding of Tenable’s business strategy and product offerings
  • Turn conversations with analysts and their feedback into actionable insight for the company
  • Manage briefings and inquiries - from coordinating calendars and preparing briefing materials to staffing calls and post-call follow-up
  • Project-manage analyst engagements, such as advisory days and surveys, with close attention to deadlines and deliverable requirements
  • Maintain AR interactions database, as well as collaborate with the AR Director in measuring the impact of the AR program
  • Monitor and analyze analyst reports for trends and insights impacting Tenable’s business and AR strategy
  • Align analyst program across all marketing functions (PR, Events, Field Marketing, Product Marketing, etc.) to support major initiatives and targeted projects​

What You'll Need

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills -- written and verbal
  • Proven project management abilities, as well as exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to think quickly on your feet and resolve basic issues independently
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and strong follow-through a must
  • Dexterity in adapting to new concepts, assignments and deadlines quickly and effectively
  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of team members across different functions and regions
  • 2+ years of experience (beyond internship roles) in enterprise technology communications - analyst relations experience preferred
  • Knowledge of the cybersecurity marketplace and its unique requirements a major plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required

And ideally:

  • You are a team player with the ability to build rapport and trust with colleagues on cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams, as well as with meaningful external stakeholders such as top-tier industry analysts
  • You have the ability to take projects from idea to successful conclusion, while proactively addressing obstacles along the way
  • Your inherent drive and self-starter attitude motivate you
  • You thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments where industry and technology is ever-changing and the bar for quality is set high
  • Your written and verbal communications skills are superb. Not only can you analyze complex concepts, but you also recognize the importance of knowing your audience and can adjust content, tone, and positioning accordingly
  • You possess an innate curiosity and enjoy figuring out how things (and people) work
  • You maintain a positive, flexible attitude and sense of humor (we enjoy our work and working with one another!)
