Senior Channel Business Development Manager - APAC

Your role:

Reporting to the APAC Senior Director of Channels, the primary responsibility of the APAC Senior Channel Business Development Manager will be to plan, develop and execute channel sales programs that will accelerate the capability & capacity of our channel. The primary role would be to deliver both sales & technical enablement across APAC to our channel partners.

You will work with Tenable’s Channel Sales Managers to execute these programs in country, but be responsible for creating a repeatable framework that scales to each region.

The suitable candidate would have a background as a Security SE and wanting to move into sales, or a very technically capable sales person who wants to work across APAC. Travel is expected up to 50%.

Your Opportunity:

  • Leverage global content and create customized material to suit the local APAC market for training our partners on selling Tenable
  • Facilitate partner training in local language where possible, include English, Japanese and Chinese, if necessary engage translators to assist with the content and delivery
  • Extend across both sales training and technical training of our channel
  • Technical training will require hands on lab capability, demo & POV
  • Work with our Channel Sales Managers to ensure all existing and target medallion partners meet and keep their requirements of Assure program status
  • Given you will be the face of Tenable when training sales in partners we will want the candidate to be energetic, enthusiastic and have a real passion for making those partners successful with Tenable.
  • Other APAC Channel Program Support:
    Where required on a project basis, work with MSSP candidates to ensure their technical teams understand how our products work and integrate with their MSSP environments

What You'll Need:

  • A minimum of 8+ years working in technology field sales or pre-sales
  • Technical Security SE background
  • Experience and confidence to facilitate workshops in groups of 10-20 participants
  • Experience working with distributors and resellers in APAC
  • Experience working with many cross functional stakeholders
  • Ability to take ownership and drive success
  • Great knowledge of creating content in PowerPoint and excel
  • Bachelor degree required 
  • English essential
And Ideally:
  • Masters degree preferred
  • Mandarin preferred, Japanese not essential but could be beneficial
