Accounting Specialist - Payroll

Pacific Highway | North Sydney | Australia | NSW 2060

Your Role:

Member of the Finance and Accounting team that will report directly to Sr Manager – Global Payroll to ensure accurate processing and recording of payroll for the Asia Pacific region.  Provide timely and accurate financial information, track and ensure timely time data entry into applicable Tenable’s business systems. Work as main point of contact for daily operations with the third party payroll provider as well as the Regional HRBPs and Corporate Benefits teams.  Answer employee questions related to monthly payroll processes.

Your Opportunity:

  • Manage the payroll function for Tenable in our Asia Pacific subsidiaries via a payroll service provider (TMF).
  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
  • Working knowledge of local requirements for each country Tenable has a presence in throughout Asia Pacific including compliance with legislation, understand local taxation requirements and payment requirements of employer paid benefits
  • Execute data exchange (automated or manual) between HR/Benefits and to payroll processing providers
  • Responsibility for initial review of hourly employee time records and salaried employee pay rate changes and adjustments as well as ensuring proper entry of deductions and withholding's
  • Communicate regularly with international payroll processing providers to ensure timely, accurate processing
  • Working knowledge of local requirements
  • Understand taxation and payment requirements of employer paid benefits
  • Review and reconciliation of payroll and accruals
  • Reconcile all payroll reports after each payroll run and process journal entry upload transactions for payroll
  • Prepare periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested (monthly, mid -year and fiscal year end reports)
  • Process accurate and timely year end reporting for all countries in the Asia Pacific Region
  • Provide payroll processing backup support for international subsidiary records
  • Resolve and work with payroll services related to any issues related to payroll tax matters as required for federal, state, local and international jurisdictions
  • Assist employees with payroll question
  • Other related duties as assigned

What you'll need:

  • 5+ years payroll administration experience with ADP or other Online Payroll Service systems with employee base in excess of 1,000 employees
  • Bachelor’s degree (major in Accounting or Finance a plus)
  • Understanding of multi-state payroll processing, including tax and other regulatory reporting requirements
  • Experience in processing International payroll, specifically Asia Pacific Region
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential
  • Positive attitude and ability to interact well with others
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent ability to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Working knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office and ADP reporting tools
