This October, Tenable was represented at Pycon Ireland 2019: Two days filled with talks, workshops, and Tenable team members engaging with the community and participating in the different activities with the more than 500 attendees.
Data Services, Recruiting, and Research were present at the venue! It was an amazing opportunity to speak about our mission and values, gathering great interest from attendees about what we’re doing, how we’re doing it, and why they might want to join us at Tenable, specifically at our Dublin HQ.
Andrew Farrell, from our Data Services team (pictured above) represented Tenable as a speaker giving a talk about "RSpec style unit tests" using pytest-describe to an audience of 250+.
Andrew shared great insights on how to take influence from Ruby unit testing practices in our Python development process. Andrew had many conversations as a follow-up to the talk regarding the subject matter presented and job opportunities at Tenable.
We also had the opportunity to participate with Ray MacCann in the recruiting panel, a discussion about hiring talent, company processes, giving recommendations and our points of view on what to do and what to expect when finding a new job opportunity in a competitive market.
It was a pretty busy weekend, a lot of people stopped by our booth to ask about our roles across Tenable, our challenges, and how we’re tackling Cyber Exposure. It was an amazing opportunity to share what we do, how we do it, and why people should come and join us.
It was a great event and we hope to be back in 2020.
