By Gabe Gage
My name is Gabriel Gage and I’m a filmmaker. Needless to say, after I made my college thesis film, no one expected my ideal summer to be working at a tech company specializing in cyber exposure. However, I think it makes complete sense (if you know me).
Working day-to-day on film sets is not glamorous; it’s hard, hot, unthankful work. Of all my entry-level roles on professional sets, none of them would even amount to my name being in the final credits of the films; that’s not unfair, it’s just the way the industry works. I can we tough to show up and work early mornings with people I’ve never met before.
My ideal job; working creatively with a close group of peers to produce videos that inspire audiences. I knew that Tenable could be the perfect place for me after my very first interview with Ashley Bush. Identifying company needs and desires, then envisioning a video to accomplish many of those tasks.
Since starting my internship, I’ve felt incredibly bonded to my team, and have a genuine sense of purpose coming into the office every morning. The videos I create have been legitimately fun, while also pushing my creative side to mold to the rules of our corporate style. Tenable has won me over. From interviewing VP’s like Derek Hampton, to working with the CEO Amit on press training for the IPO; there hasn’t been a dull day with Tenable.
